Day 5 LM - 115.8 (+ 1, - .9 of LDW)

Good morning!

Still within my range. I am going to avoid processed foods today though as I don't want to make it a habit of eating crap.

My finger only bothers me if I pick something up and put a certain amount of pressure on it. My shoulder on the other hand is absolutely killing me where I got my tetanus shot.

I find it weird that it was one of the least painful shots I've ever had but it's developed into one painful MF of a bruise! Oh well. I'm getting sympathy from the kids. That's gotta be worth something, right? I go back to the doctor today to look at the stitches and make sure there is no infection.

Kathryn from Reaching Onederland with HCG  nominated me for a  Versatile Blogger award! Thanks so much, Kathryn. I really appreciate it and I really enjoyed reading more about you today!

It's Monday, so I better get back to work. Fortunately most everything I need to do today can be done in my pajamas as I have no child care for the rest of the Summer. My kids can go with me to deliver fliers and take pictures for just moved cards though. :)

Have a great start to the week!

Ouch!! That bruise looks like it hurts!! I'm sending kisses to make it better-

Please keep us posted about your finger & how it went with the Dr. today. Hope all was well, and your stitches are mending nicely. I'm so sorry this happened to you.

I have to tell you a story about a kitchen accident I had about 5-6 years ago. I thought it would be a great idea, as Mr. ld loves lasagna, to make it for him, but instead of using lasagna noodles, to substitute thin slices of eggplant instead, with everything else being the same. So, out came that lovely French mandoline that I'd given myself for a birthday gift one year from Williams-Sonoma, thinking I would use that to make nice, thin, regular slices of eggplant. The first few slices went well, but at some point, my hand slipped, and my thumb came down on that very sharp blade, and sliced off the side of my thumb. My husband wasn't home at the time, and I couldn't call him, but he did come home in a little bit, where he found me screaming in the kitchen, holding my thumb! We gathered ourselves and drove to the emergency room, with my piece-parts. They weren't able to sew it back on, and there wasn't any way to stitch together what was left. They created a steel case for my thumb which I had to wear until I grew back together.

I'm all healed now, but my left thumb looks kinda funny! I haven't brought myself to use a mandoline again!! Sorry if my story was too graphic...

Your story gave me the CHILLS! Gads, how hideous and frightening! I don't blame you for not using that again. ACK!!!

She likes my progress. I am allergic to the shot, and he hit a blood vessel, hence all my problems. They suggested benedryl. Oh well!

Thanks for checking in on me! *HUG*
