Scared.

The podiatrist couldn't tell me what was wrong but suggested I talk to an expert on veins who can perform a Doppler on my leg to see if there is an obstruction. He repeatedly asked if I was awakened in the night by pain, which I'm not. After coming home and researching, I can see he was wondering if it might be gout. After reading all that it could be sans foot injury, gout looks the least scary compared to everything else I'm finding.

I just don't know what to do. If it were constantly swollen, I'd be more scared I think, however this is occurring more and more often (started Dec 2008, recurring maybe once more in 2009 and now a couple times in 2010). It's been all I can do to force myself to eat today.

I wonder if the gel they apply for the doppler would be non-HCG compliant? I really hate to stop this round, especially knowing this swelling will go away. It always does.

*deep breath*

make the appt. Usually those gels are water-based. Anything oil-based would screw up the waves they use to read the image. Better to get to the bottom of it now.

Keep doing the hcg, and eating protocol. You're going to be fine. Deep breaths.

Eat something- your body needs it. don't 'not' eat today.

could you call an internist tomorrow? stay calm, and know I'm thinking about you and sending you lots of healing energy!

I'm sorry that sounds very scary and you are in my thoughts. Stick to protocol and take care of yourself. If somethings throws the diet a little then deal with it when it happens. Take care of your health first!

I am glad that you went to the dr., make that next appointment and go from there. LD is right - eat today, you need to. If it only happens every now and then, chances are whatever "it" is you have caught it at the beginning. Positive energy headed your way!!

After more research, it looks like it is most likely an obstructed lymph node. I'll keep you all posted and thanks for the support!

I'm concerned for you. I'm happy to read you did see a doctor and you're being proactive reserching probable causes. You need to eat to keep strength up and have energy for healing. Keep taking good care of yourself!

I agree with all the other ladies. Being proactive is the best thing you can do for yourself and your health. Try to relax and take care of yourself today.
